gather in 这种表达可以吗？

1.gather in Shanghai可以应用，没有问题。但tens of thousands of汉语痕迹太重，建议改为thousands and thousands of。另外如果本文属于正式文件，gahter可以用collect、convene（聚集的正式用词）替换，如果只是新闻稿，gather也可用assemble替代。
